Milestone Maths settles the long standing debate on how to effectively teach mathematics by proving that rote memorisation and broad conceptual understanding are neither mutually exclusive nor are they the only tools available to the maths teacher. Children master foundational skills, learn the basic facts and gradually develop a deep conceptual understanding by engaging with multisensory lessons that are easy to teach and make learning even the most challenging concepts simple and fun. Each milestone focusses on mastering a single key concept or skill while simultaneously reviewing previously learned material to make learning stick and deepen understanding.
